SPA and Online Education

If you have not checked out AANA’s new online education, please do so: AANALearn. I’d like to specifically highlight the “Wellness Catalog” that you’ll find along with other learning programs. Within the wellness catalog you’ll find four programs that contain content from the 2007 SPA Workshop. Each of these is worth 1 CE credit through the AANA Education Department:

  • Intervention and Treatment for the Addicted Nurse Anesthetist
  • State Peer Advisor Role & Balancing Ethics
  • Substance Abuse Policies for Staff & Care for the Chemically Dependent Patient
  • The Current State of Drug Misuse by CRNAs & Addiction: It’s a Brain Disease
The modules cost $10 for non-members and $7 for members. Where else could you receive the information and expertise of all those who presented this important information on chemical dependency for such an appealing price? The most popular program so far has been “The Current State of Drug Misuse by CRNAs”. Many of you have already seen the content from the SPA workshop, but if not please log on and take a look, take a course and share with colleagues at work and within your state association.
